Ex Brightfire (XBF)
Overberg Test Range in South Africa

Exercise Brightfire (XBF) is a Ground-Based Air Defence live-firing exercise conducted by the RSAF's Divisional Air Defence Group (DAG) at the Overberg Test Range (OTR) in South Africa.
The exercise hones the operational competencies of our participants and enhances their confidence in operating our Air Defence weapon systems.
Australia
Ex Pitch Black
Darwin, Australia

Exercise Pitch Black is a biennial large-scale multilateral air combat exercise hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force in Darwin, Australia. The exercise sees participating nations pitting their air combat skills against simulated threats in a challenging and realistic training environment, under day and night conditions.
Established in 1990, Exercise Pitch Black seeks to enhance professionalism and interoperability among the participating forces, and foster closer rapport and mutual understanding among the service personnel.
130 SQN
Royal Australian Air Force Base Pearce, Perth, Australia

130 SQN, which is part of the RSAF's Flying Training Institute (FTI), conducts a nine-month long Basic Wings Course (BWC) to provide potential RSAF pilots with the knowledge of and skills for basic flying before they progress to the advanced flying course. 130 SQN currently uses the Pilatus PC-21 trainer aircraft.
Ex Wallaby
Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Queensland, Australia

The RSAF participates in Exercise Wallaby, an annual large-scale exercise at the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) in Queensland, Australia. Over the years, the RSAF has deployed our fighters, helicopters, transport aircraft, UAVs and Ground-Based Air Defence assets to take part in the tri-service exercise.
Australian Army Aviation Centre
Oakey, Queensland, Australia

The RSAF started training at the Oakey Detachment in Queensland, Australia in 1998. The detachment currently operates the CH-47 Chinook helicopters.

Joint Military Training
Kalaikunda Air Force Station, India

The Joint Military Training (JMT) is conducted in Kalaikunda Air Force Station, India. JMT allows aircrew from both air forces to hone their operational skills and enhance cooperation through high-end training, such as Air Combat and Mission-Oriented Trainings, under realistic and challenging conditions.
The training also helps to enhance interoperability and fosters closer rapport and understanding among the personnel of both air forces.
Ex Cope Tiger
Korat Air Base, Thailand

Exercise Cope Tiger is an annual trilateral exercise conducted by the RSAF, Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF), and the United States Air Force (USAF) at the Korat Air Base, Thailand. This exercise seeks to enhance professionalism and interoperability among the three participating air forces. It also aims to forge a stronger rapport and closer understanding among the participating personnel.
Ex Bersama Series
Malaysia and Singapore

Exercise Bersama Shield and Bersama Lima are Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) exercises involving assets and personnel from Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.
Since the FPDA's formation in 1971, the FPDA has evolved over the years to meet the challenges of an increasingly complex contemporary security environment, while remaining as a defensive, inclusive and peaceful security arrangement. In 2021, the FPDA member-nations participated in a flypast and naval vessel display to commemorate the FPDA's 50th anniversary.
Ex Camar Indopura / Ex Elang Indopura
Indonesia

The RSAF participates in the bilateral Maritime Air Surveillance (Ex Camar Indopura) and Air Defence (Ex Elang Indopura) exercises with the Indonesian Air Force, TNI AU. Ex Elang Indopura comprises a Command Post exercise and an Air Manoeuvre exercise.
These exercises serve as an excellent platform to enhance the professionalism and cooperation between the two air forces. It underscores the close and long-standing bilateral defence relations between Singapore and Indonesia.

150 SQN, Cazaux Detachment
Cazaux Air Base, France

The RSAF's Cazaux Detachment in France began in 1998. It is where the RSAF's fighter pilot trainees undergo their advanced jet training using the M-346 Advanced Jet Trainer.

Ex Red Flag - Alaska
Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, United States

Exercise Red Flag is a United States Air Force (USAF) Flag-series combat training exercise that allows participants to engage in a series of realistic and challenging air-to-air and air-to-ground training missions under day and night conditions in complex scenarios.
The exercise allows the RSAF to hone its combat readiness and sharpen its operational capabilities, and also underscores the excellent and long-standing defence relationship between the United States and Singapore.

Mountain Home Air Force Base (MHAFB), Idaho, United States

The Peace Carvin V (PC V) detachment in Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, United States was established in 2008. Training is currently conducted using the RSAF's F-15SG Fighter aircraft.
Peace Carvin II
Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, United States

The Peace Carvin II (PC II) detachment in Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, United States was established in 1992 and is the longest operating overseas detachment for the RSAF. Training is currently conducted using the RSAF's F-16C/D Fighting Falcons.
Ex Forging Sabre
Mountain Home Air Force Base Idaho, United States

Ex Forging Sabre is an SAF integrated strike exercise involving personnel from the RSAF and Singapore Army, and a suite of sense and strike assets from across the SAF. Conducted at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, US, the SAF is able to train in a vast training area with an airspace more than 20 times the size of Singapore, allowing the SAF to conduct larger-scale and realistic training to maintain high-levels of readiness for Singapore's defence.
Peace Vanguard
Marana, Arizona, United States

The Peace Vanguard (PV) detachment in Marana, Arizona, United States was established in 2001. The detachment currently flies the RSAF's AH-64 Apache Helicopters.
