Awarded upon the completion of training and courses, these wings and brevets represent the various honours you can attain with us. Wear them with pride!
Aircrew Specialist

The Aircrew Specialist (ACS) Wing is awarded to Helicopter Crewmen and Loadmasters who have successfully completed their specialised training.
The Wing is silver in colour. The Coat-of-Arms signifies the Republic of Singapore and the word ACS is at the centre of the wing to signify the Aircrew Specialist. The laurels stand for honour, pride and glory.
Air Defence Systems Specialist

The Air Defence Systems Specialist (ADSS) Badge is worn by the specialists from the Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) community as a mark of their professionalism in operating the GBAD systems.
The guns trace a historical link with the earlier Air Defence Artillery pioneers, the radar signifies the all-round defence posture, while the missile represents the drive and aspirations of the GBAD community.
Air Force Engineer

The Air Force Engineer (AFE) Wing is worn by all AFEs for a common identity.
The wings symbolise the AFE as an integral fighting part of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). The vocation title is reflected on the badge. The gear represents technology and symbolises Air Logistics as the technical arm of the RSAF. The globe surrounded by the gear signifies the AFE’s global outlook and our vision of World Class Logistics with a global reach and 24/7 operations. The 2 arrows superimposed in the globe and the gear embody Air Engineering Logistics Organisation (AELO)'s mission of maximising Air Power and a symbiotic relationship that we have with other RSAF professional arms. The arrows also project a forward-looking, lean and adaptable AELO, pushing towards new frontiers.
Air Force Engineer (Flight Engineer)

The Air Force Engineer (Flight Engineer) (AFE(FE)) Wing is worn by personnel who have successfully completed their specialised training. As AFEs, they embody Air Engineering Logistics Organisation (AELO)'s mission as domain experts in aircraft generation towards Air Power while serving as essential aircrew members who stand Operationally Ready 24/7 in both peace and war.
The Coat-of-Arms signifies the RSAF. The letters “FE” stand for Flight Engineers. On the top of each side of the vocational wings represents the AFE(FE) vocation as an integral member who bridges both engineering and flight operations under a single vocation. The laurels serve as a reminder that our profession in the military is one of nobility, fortitude and service to the nation.
Flight Engineers must always be driven to succeed and where possible value adds to provide insight with a high degree of professionalism towards engineering and operations.
Air Imagery Intelligence Expert

This Wing is awarded to those who have successfully completed their specialised training as an Air Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) Expert (AIRIX).
The Coat-of-Arms and laurels symbolise the nation-state of Singapore. They are featured to engender pride in defending the nation. The AIRIX title at the base of the badge acknowledges that it is the people who will form the foundation of the new corps.
The wings symbolise the AIRIX as a fighting part of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), delivering intelligence for the full spectrum of Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) operations from peace to war. The outstretched design depicts flight, and reveals a long, broad and triangular wing structure which is typical for long-distance, soaring, and highly-manoeuvrable flight. This represents the desire for the AIRIX to be dynamic, with attributes of persistence, adaptability, and precision.
The globe symbolises the AIRIX as a part of the intelligence corps. The three ascending arrows symbolise the AIRIX as a corps of experts always reaching out to achieve excellence, delivering Accurate, Relevant and Timely imagery intelligence for all the three Services in the SAF.
Air Operations & Systems Expert

This Wing is worn by qualified Air Operations & Systems Experts (AOSXs) upon completion of their vocational training.
The Coat-of-Arms represents a basic pledge that wearers of this Wing would honourably respond to defend Singapore. The flashes on the badge depict the electromagnetic spectrum which represents the AOSX's roles in Integrated Knowledge based Command and Control (IKC2). The interlocking rings in the centre of the badge signifies the role played by the AOSX in integrating with the rest of the Singapore Armed Force (SAF)'s Command and Control networks, while the dart represents the sharp thinking and decisiveness an AOSX should possess.
Air Warfare Officer

The AWO badge is worn by Air Warfare Officer (Air Battle Management), Air Warfare Officer (Air Defence Weapons), and Air Warfare Officer (Air Traffic Control).
The Coat-of-Arms at the top signifies the Republic of Singapore (RSAF), the nation that AWOs protect with honour and their lives. The Wings are symbolic of the RSAF and the application of air power in air warfare. The key feature of the badge is the design of the shield, which reflects the collective strength and team excellence in defending the integrity of our airspace and sovereignty. It is also a representation of AWO's competencies. These are symbolically represented by the radar scope which epitomises the ever vigilant and ready posture, and the arrow head that symbolises a missile with great potency, sharpness and decisiveness to defend our airspace. The shield signifies the air shield that we provide to safeguard our sovereignty.
Aviation Medical Officer

This Aviation Medical Officer (AvMO) Wing is worn by Medical Officers who have qualified as Aviation Medical Officers. It forges a common identity for aviation medicine practitioners.
The Coat-of-Arms represents the Republic of Singapore, while the two outstretched wings signify the AvMO’s service as active members of the RSAF aircrew community and their integral role to the Air Force. The laurel stands for honour, pride and glory, while the Staff of Aescalepius (a single snake twined around a staff) is the universal symbol of the medical profession.
Pilot

The Pilot Wing is worn by personnel who have successfully completed flying training at the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Flying School.
It takes about 35 months for a trainee to obtain his/her Wing. The wings extend elegantly outward to signify the unique nature of the work and the operational readiness and capability of the RSAF pilots.
The Coat-of-Arms signifies the RSAF. The word "RSAF" is at the centre and is surrounded by the laurels, which signify honour, pride and glory.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Pilot

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Pilot Wings is awarded to all UAV Pilots who have successfully completed their specialised training in operating their respective UAV systems.
The Coat-of-Arms at the top signifies the Republic of Singapore, the nation that UAV Pilots uphold with honour and protect with their lives. Within the UAV form, the tri-planar fuselage comes together and forms a pyramidal structure, which represents the tri-service nature of a UAV Pilot's operations. The long, broad wing in an overarching posture with outstretched feathers depict a long-distance, soaring, and persistent flight. The V-shape wing signifies the attributes of persistence, adaptability and cohesion in a community of UAV professionals.
Weapon Systems Officer (Fighter)

The Weapon Systems Officer (Fighter) (WSO (FTR)) Wing is awarded to those who have successfully completed their specialised training in the WSO (FTR).
WSO (FTR)s are expected to possess similar level of situational awareness and airmanship as fighter pilots of the same experience level. WSO (FTR)s are also required to be able to support all aspects of operational requirement as a fighter aircrew in the aft cockpit with the exception of piloting the aircraft.
The Coat-of-Arms signifies the Republic of Singapore. The wings signify the WSO (FTR) as an airborne specialist. The laurels signify honour, pride and glory. The word "WSO" gives bestows a greater connection to the fighter squadron upon the WSO (FTR).
