The RSAF became the first non-NATO country to join NATO Flying Training in Canada, boosting pilot skills and global ties.
The profile of the RSAF as a globally recognised Air Force was reinforced in February 2000, when the RSAF became the first non-NATO country to join the NATO Flying Training in Canada programme. This programme for cooperative military flight training provided a viable and cost-effective way to train RSAF pilots while exposing.
